How will the teaching be adapted for my child with SEND?
- Reasonable adjustments are made to all areas of the curriculum to provide high quality personalised learning
- Quality first teaching, supported by wave 2 and wave 3 interventions, will be delivered through the graduated response model
- Class teachers plan lessons according to the specific needs of all groups of children in their class and will ensure that your child’s needs are met
- Both teachers and teaching assistants may deliver aspects of the curriculum and work collaboratively
- Support staff, under the direction of the class teacher, can adapt planning to support the needs of your child where necessary
- Specific resources and strategies will be used to support your child individually and in groups. Planning and teaching will be adapted, on a daily basis if needed, to meet your child’s learning needs
- Interventions may be delivered both within or outside of the classroom
- We will endeavour to ensure that children are not treated less favourably for a reason which relates to his or her SEND.
